The group kitty explained
On a weekend away or at a festival you can use a shared fund. Everyone puts in, the kitty holder pays the shared costs and FestiDrinkz keeps track of it all.
How the kitty works

Everyone in the group, not just the kitty holder. If someone else pays a kitty cost, you record it as paid up front. FestiDrinkz settles this automatically: that person gets the money back from the kitty holder in the final settlement.
When you enter a kitty cost, you select who took part. Only those people contribute to that cost. If you didn't go, you don't pay either.
The kitty holder has spent more than was put in. That's not an error: the shortfall is shared in the final settlement between the people who took part in the costs that caused it. If you didn't take part in those costs, you don't pay towards them.
Yes. Kitty costs and regular rounds run side by side. In the final settlement both are combined in one overall overview.
No. You can have each person put in a different amount. At the end you see who has used more or less than they put in, and that gets settled.
FestiDrinkz combines the amounts put into the kitty, each person's use of the kitty, amounts paid up front by others and regular rounds into one final overview. The result is a list of who transfers how much to whom, with as few transactions as possible.
